Passengers with animals
Traveling with a pet?
Dogs and cats are accepted for transportation only accompanied by adult passengers and with the prior consent of the Carrier. The passenger must present a certificate and other documents required by the veterinary authorities of all countries on the route.
For the transportation of animals, the passenger must provide a container with air access, a waterproof bottom covered with absorbent material. Bird cages should be covered with a dense light-tight fabric.
The mass of accompanied animals, containers and food is not included in the free baggage allowance and is paid according to the tariff established by the regulations of the Carrier. If the weight of the animal together with the cage exceeds 8 kg, such an animal is transported only as checked baggage in the isolated trunk of the aircraft. If the flight is performed by an aircraft that does not have an isolated trunk, then animal cages are located in the passenger cabin with the consent of the passengers sitting next to each other.
Guide dogs are transported free of charge without a cage in excess of the free baggage allowance, provided that such a dog has a collar and muzzle, and it is tied at the feet of the owner. Aquarium fish, birds and rodents cannot be transported either in the cabin or as checked baggage.
Each airline sets its own rules for transporting animals. However, in general, all air carriers are guided by the rules for the carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo by air transport, approved by Order No. 540 of the Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 30, 2015.
